help on tire choice: t-rated vs. h-rated

hi,
i have read through tons of postings and was unable to find anything on this…so, I’m hoping someone could offer some advice.

i need new tires for my 92 gs (195/60/14). i had dunlop sport a2 which were great but did not last nearly as long as i would have liked them too. so now, i’m looking for something comparable in quality but with much better treadlife.

i drive my car only somewhat aggresively and was thinking of moving to a t-rated tire to get more life out of the tire. but, i’m not sure if i should stick with an h-rated tire. my choices so far are:

  1. Pirelli 3000 cintaurato (t-rated, getting for $102 cdn installed)
  2. BFG Traction (H) (more pricey)
  3. Yoko Avid H4s (more pricey)
  4. Falken 512

any help would be greatly appreciated… :hmm:

I’ve heard lots of good things about falkens and good price
try lookin at 1010tires.com lots of good info there

thanks…okay, is there anyone else out there with any advice? my tires are bald and i have to decide asap…

I’ve seen on Tire Rack that the higher speed ratings have a lower treadwear rating (for the same tire brand/model).
