i have coolant leaking where there is no hose connected… if you look at the thermostat housing there is a short piece of hose connected to the intake manifold, maybe 3 inches away… there are 2 openings there… the top one is connected to the thermostat housing and lower one i have nothing connected to and is leaking coolant??
Do you have an intake?
If you do, the top line probally has a small crack in it, making it look like the bottom line (which is a vacum line for the stock airbox) is leaking coolant. Pinch the hose after you start up your car to figure out exaclty where the hole is.
i took some pictures of it… check here called “coolant1” “coolant2”

wonder if i could just plug it?

right above #37 (its a bolt) there is a tubing connector that points straight down… thats where i have nothing connected to it and coolant is just running out of it
should i just cap it?
im pretty sure its the IAC valve that these lines are running into… but can i use the b20 throttle body on the b18 intake manifold??? will the sensors work with it??? b/c on the b20 IAC valve on the throttle body, it only has one coolant line running into it…and thats where im having my problem
yikes…change those old clamps and hoses, man. yup it goes to the Fast Idle Valve. and yes, they need to be hook up.
on the b20 intake manifold the IAC valve below the throttle body only has 1 coolant line… the b18 IAC valve has 2… so there is no where from the b20 block for it to go
so i just plugged the leftover one
unless im supposed to changeover to the b18 thermostat housing and put the thermostat switch onto the b20 block
