I removed all the bolts and the thing won’t budge. I even tried hitting with a mallet to knock it loose. :bang::bang::bang:
Is there a better way to approach this??? My down pipe is pretty rotted also. I hate new york state.
Did you remove the lower half of the manifold or are you taking it out in one piece? If you’re taking it off in one piece there are two brackets you need to unbolt. One bracket is one the front of the block held on with one bolt. There is also another bracket under the car on the back of the block held on by a couple nuts.
+1, the headers are two piece and it is bolted to the block.
if i rememeber correctly its bolted to the block twice. in the front lower part of the block and behind the backside of the block and it must be in 2 pieces to be taken out. good luck!
