I don’t know what going early today i was driving and heard a funny sound but then later i was goin out i hear the same sound.
so i open the hood and distrubuter well i think i was the distrubuter was making like a whistleing sound and then i looked at my RPMs when the car was idling and it was bouncing up and down then the <Check Engine> light came on and then the whistleing became even louder and then my car seemed like it was choking when i steped on the Gas pedal and reved it
I have no idea what going on?..is there someting i can do about it well any one Have any Suggestions PLEASE HELP!!!
I would use caution driving your car. I’ve heard about people hearing their distributer whine and then it froze up and that screws things up because it won’t run at all once it freazes up and you may be on the highway or something.
and I dunno if it does that while your reved up pretty high it may break other things.
ok i went to my mechanic he is talking about 459 for the part and 50 for labor we are talking about 500 dollars is thisa good amount i have to replace the rotor thinkingof going to junk yard
The rotor? It costs like 25 bucks at the local parts store for a new Dist. cap and rotor… My distributor was making a squeeling and clicking noise right before it cut out on me… My distributor was shot, It was about 300 bucks[CDN] w/ labour to replace the entire dstributor…
