help w/ annoying whining

i’ve been having a problem with my DA these past weeks…i’ve noticed that when i’m at a complete stop and get into 1st gear there’s a loud whining noise coming from the front of my car…i just changed both axles b4 this annoying noise came around…axles have been checked and i changed the halfshaft thinking that could be the problem cuz my old 1 had some play on it…but the noise is still there…i came across some1 who said that this happened to his car a while back too and he said it turned out to be his abs…has this happened to any1 lately??? and can any1 pls verify that a problem with the abs could be causing this annoying whining noise???

My be throw out bearing or pilot bearing if i’m reading it right. At a stop with clutch pedal down?

i don’t think its the clutch…clutch is brand new too…the annoying noise only happens at launch in 1st gear

Clutch is new but what about the bearings though? Does it whine only when depressing the clutch or when the clutch is fully out?

only when depressing the clutch

i have a whinning noise also when the clutch pedal in down???

When the clutch pedal is down the throw out bearing is spinning. Try reving up the engine with clutch pedal down and see what happens. It my get louder.

mine doesn’t do that…i’m thinking it may really be my abs going bad…any more opinions???

same problem

I also have the same problem. I thought it was the clutch bearing or the CV shafts, but it is somewhere in the ABS. It is a very annoying squeeking sound. Sounds like two metal pieces rubbing off each other. It goes on and off even at neutral. There are no vibrations on the car at all. Its very constant during hot days. I am thnking it might be the ABS accumulator or power unit.

i pulled out the 3 abs fuses found in the fuse box under the hood, but the noise didn’t go away…so i’m guessing its not the abs on my car…come on ppl, help pls!!!
