Help with Cable to hydro conversion.

Hey I recently purchased my transmission swap from tigerjapan. i need infos on exactly which kit i should use for conversion from hydro to cable. Im not trying to spend big bucks, just the essentials are needed. i don’t need mounts, but the other part. im kid of unsure on what to buy, and most of the threads i’ve searched for are really old. so i doubt the vendors still exist. anyone care to elaborate for meh? whats the difference between these kits?

could someone post a direct link to what i should get please?

Really 2 choices here - kits that incorporate a hydraulic slave cylinder and those that don’t. Slave cylinders reduce pedal pressure, especially if you are using a heavy duty racing type pressure plate - but require a bit more work to install.

I went with the Innovative #41000 as being easy to install. Running as a daily driver for 2 years now - no complaints. Try this link for info and prices.

What is the difference between these three types?

Top pic is a hydraulic slave cylinder type (not sure of the mfr)
Next two are manual types from 2 differant mfrs (Innovative and Hasport)
Go to the link I sent you, and go to the last page on the site (page #6) - should help you visualize

okay so…

which would be more better for the conversion, in terms of functionality. why would it be better to use the slave cylinder type vs the actuator type, or vise vesra…

thanks for the replies.

In the late 90’s Honda/Acura switched from a cable controled clutch system to hydraulics. Purpose - hydraulic systems are more user friendly - less foot pressure - better feel - smoother operation. So now you have a hydraulic tranny going into a cable chasis - you need to convert one way or the other.
Some of us feel that hydraulics are the way to go - others feel that it’s a needless modification, which creates another potential point of failure. If you have driven your tegra with the cable tranny, you know the feel of the clutch pedal - find a buddy with a later model hydraulic clutch and compare. Unless you plan on installing a heavy duty racing pressure plate - you should be able to make up your own mind.
