HELP WIth Changing Fluid

I was changin my Manual Tranny fluid i wus able to drain it (stupidly before i tried to take off the filler bolt) Well now its trained and i cant get the bolt off ive dried ratchet, air ratchet and with an impact with alot of extensions but nthng is able to move that dam bolt so my car is sittin with out tranny oil any ideas on how to get it off. If not can i drive it at all with no fluid jsut to get it somewhtere that mite get it off?

Have you tried using a Johnny Bar? Did you also put some kind of Liquid Wrench on it too? You might also want to hammer it to loosen up the rust inside. If you’re too weak, try using the Johnny Bar and have someone smack the Johnny bar with the hammer while you hold onto it. A local mechanic is obviously the last choice.

As for driving without fluid, you’re not. When you drained your tranny, not all of it came out. To get the car to the mechanic might be okay (stick to 1st or 2nd only without going over 2000rpm as a precaution). However, my fluid was never this low before.

Good luck,

Oz

Well an update is that its still not moving, i got it drenched wit liquid rench and hit it but still nthn. Im gonna let it sit over nite and hope that the 27th is my lucky day. GOD this sucks any other ideas fellas?

Yeah i am equally surprised i dont get how it could be on there so well with a washer inbetween there!

GOT IT OFF

And all it took wus one person pullin on the ratchet with a rope, and another using a bar to pry on the ratchet using the fork as leverage, and it finnaly busted loose thank god!

In the future you can try raising the end of a wrench with a floor jack. It will definitly give you enough leverage. Be careful though as you can produce enough torque to sheer off the head or break a cheap ratchet. I’ve done both with other methods.
