ok here’s the problem my car would idle very high (1500-2200rpm) even when the car is all warmed up. I turned the idle screw all the way down and that doesn’t help. I checked my throttle cable and its on correctly, as in not 2 tight to where it is forcing the idle. Was wonder what else I should look into.
I would check the Fast Idle valve, then maybe clean the throttle plate with intake cleaner (NOT carb or brake cleaner). If it’s not the valve, then maybe the throttle plate is all gummed up and sticking partially open. If it’s neither of those, then you may have a leak somewhere in the gasket, most likely not, but there is a possibility.
man you really need to get a haynes manual. itll walk you through troubleshooting steps. download teh helms from my sig too
if for some reason you cant get either, i can walk you through it, AFTER you do search of course (integra help and general discussion areas)
quick check- when cold, start up car, take off air filter and tubing, feel the hole in the throttlebody, there should be suction. when the car warms up, there should be no more suction. this is the fast idle valve. the iacv regulates idle when teh a/c, lights or other power draining thing is on
