HELP with oil press gauge

ok i know there are 2 types of gauges, electrical and mechanical. i hear only one type can be mounted inside the car? this true? which one would it be? do all the parts come with the gauge? autometer im talkin about, i hear u need a sending unit or somethig, that come with the product? thanks

Both can be installed inside the car. The electrical one uses a sending unit that comes with the guage, the mechanical one comes with all the parts but unless you use a T fitting the idiot light on the dash will not work because the cap tube replaces the sending unit.

depending on the gauge, it may not come with all the parts to hook it up to your car. Example, the oil pressure gauges (mechanical or electrical) require an adapter to fit into the block threading for the stock oil pressure sensor. Here is a link for you guys. It’s for a civic, but that’s the exact same thing you do for the tegs.
