First of all, on the drivers side brake nuts that connect to the damper, some moron put the nut on the wrong way. So i think i gotta use a dremel to get that thing off cause it ain’t budgin. Can’t get a good grip on it because all the stuff is in the way, and if i take the damper fork off then i won’t have anything to hold the damper down. I think i’m SOL on this one
But the problem i really need help with is how far to tighten the nut down on top of the shock. I have AGX shocks, with eibach pro kits (1.4" drop in front). how far do i have to tighten the nut down to be safe? do i just go until the thing won’t go any further or what, cause it seems like i could go forever.
Well nevermind, i fixed both problems. The nut finally came off, and i got a torque wrench and torqued it down 22 lb-ft (stock setting). But too bad i’m too much of a dumbass and can’t install these mother f*ckers since you gotta line 'em up just right. I’ll just give another wack at it tomorrow or have it hauled off to a mechanic.
Note to anyone installing suspension their first time:
Read every instruction carefully, think about things, and don’t be an idiot like me. Most importnantly, remember everything has to be lined up almost perfectly. Fack, i hate workin on cars, i’d rather drive them…
