my 91 teg gs had starting problems…then u guys helped me fix it by replacing the main relay. Now my car cranks and i get a spark from the distributer, but it doesnt go thru the wires to the head. I think. because it doesnt start. i was wondering if its my plug wires or something. But the spark i see comin out of the dist is orange and faint, isnt it supposed to be blue?? any help would be great… oh and i dont think its my igniter since im gettin spark
nevermind…i replaced my plugs and wires and im good again.:defend:

? about your teg
Chumo,
I have a '91 Teg and it just won’t start, the lights are still on and the alarm is arming up with no problem. A lot of people have told me that Honda alternators rarely give out so I am at a lost. I jumped the car off of my Legend and it still won’t start. Is this similiar to the problem you were having? Where is the main relay switch and how much did it cost to replace it?
Thanks

u sure ur relay is out? turn ur key to ON position and listen for the fuel pump sound like a hissssssss… check for spark, coil, ignitor.
ok, when u crank ur car, do u see the needle on the tach move a bit? if it does, ur relay is ok, if it doesnt then ur relay is gone, or could be fuses, but i doubt it. the relay from Acura was $80 cdn i think.
update
i found out it wasn’t anything i thought it was one of the wires to the post connections to the battery was badly frayed and me and a friend replaced it and it started right up. thanks for all the help anyway!
