Here are some pictures...

I don’t want it there. I was going to put both guages where the boost guage is, but my oil guage was too big. I want the boost guage where I can see it easier, and I was going to have an EGT and maybe a water temp or A/F guage in the panel. I’m not done with all that stuff.

Before I decided to put the radio into the glove box, I was going to go get another dash cover (the part where the flashers and stuff are) from a junk yard and cut out a square, then use the aluminum for a guage panel there. I put all my buttons onto the right side, behind my boost guage, and I was just going to cut a hole into the dash trim and put some there. In fact, now that I think about it, I should really reconsider that option. It’s a good idea.

was there a specific steering rack you needed? from a certain year CRX?

Yeah, but I don’t remember which one it was. There are a few other people on here who have done it. And the guys who did most of the work browse this forum, maybe if they see this they’ll chime in. If you really get serious about it let me know and I’ll find out for you. Also, I think I’ve got some pictures on my computer of the size differences and stuff if you want to see them.

EDIT: I started a thread in the suspension section. I can’t link to it with firebird though, so just go over there yourselves you lazy bums.

Hey Stu- just out of curiosity: What did you use to mount the boost gauge to the steering wheel cover? one of those autometer “universal cup” mounts? The reason I’m asking is because it looks like it is almost slanted- how I want mine… And also in that location, are there any viewing problems? Thanks-

jake

Is theft a big problem in your area? Im curious to know why you mounted the afc where you did. Oh and the acura emblem under the ebake is straight rice y0.

are you gonna run a pcv catch can system? Great set up for the oil feed and gauge.

I forgot about the emblem being there lol. It was there when I bought the car. There is a big theft problem ANYWHERE you live when you drive a Honda.

I don’t know if I will do a catchcan system yet. I want to, but I have other more important things to do first.

Edit: The guage holder came with the gauge, you could make your own but it’d be pretty ghetto. There are no visibility problems there.

Forget about the car … Hot looking girl  A little bit more and she will be as hot as my girl hehehe

No for real bro, I’m not diggin’ the custome metal gauge pod nor where the VAFC is but I give you a lot of props for all the work you’ve done. I’ve always thought of cleaning out my intake manifold because all those vacumm lines drive me nuts plus it looks ugly as sin and you gave me the insentive to do it.

Haha, okay, good luck then. I didn’t clean up my intake on purpose either, it was an accident really.

does anyone have a copy of the pics to this thread?

I was about to ask the same. Hook it up stu, I never saw these pics…

Plus I wanna see the girl everyone is raving about… :naughty:
