91 teg, 97 b18b swap (converted obd1 chipped ecu), 28mpg… 40thousand miles on swap no major issues…DD
Buuuut
In the last few months the idle had started to idle higher than normal for longer than usual, taking longer than previously to drop to normal idle at around 750 rpms. Floats for a few seconds, then bam back to normal.
Well NOW when I decelerate the car, just easing off the gas not downshifting, it stumbles/hesitates boarderline violently sometimes lol…never during acceleration tho…
I was thinking iac, fitv (or whatever that thing is), tps…etc
Thoughts?
mines doing something similiar but not as bad, i cleaned my iacv was good so next im gonna try the fitv and see if this helps me too
My motor came from hmo, so the sensors and engine are in really good shape, it ticks me off this is happening, but such is the life of a swapped honda.
im going to try the same tomm night, lmk how it works for u man… i hope we figure it out lol.
*edit…b18b swap
Anyone ever fix this problem? I have this problem lately on my 91 with B16A swap converted to OBD1. Cleaned out IACV and got a better FITV. Worked perfect for about a year now it’s doing the hesistation on deceleration and low idle on cold startup (which is probably the FITV acting up again). Going to try and adjust the FITV again. I really wish I could spend money on a new one, but I can’t bring myself to do that.
