Great weekend out at CVR for another HFF event. Here are a couple outtakes and my fast lap for the day which was both a personal best and apparently good enough for 1st place in street class

Thanks guys! And yes, I did catch a little air when I had that off. It messed up my alignment a little and I think tweaked my radiator support a little more. Yesterday was round 3 at Buttonwillow, which unfortunately didn’t go so well. Threw a the #3 rod 
Time to look for a new motor…

Never a good feeling when you encounter motor problems though. All the more reason to make the next one that much better, eh?
Different events actually, I got 1st at CVR but yesterday ended up with a DNF. I’m really kicking myself for going out during the 1st session, which doesn’t count for points. I managed to put down one timed lap (just a warmup lap which was about 4-5 seconds slower than my PB at Buttonwillow) and if it had been during the 2nd session I would have at least had a lap that counted towards some points
Still trying to figure out what to do now… decisions decisions.

Thanks guys. Quang, not sure about the head yet, I haven’t had time to take anything apart yet. I got home late on Sunday and have been focused on work since then, too much to do to prepare for our quarterly meeting today plus I’m leaving for Coachella EARLY tomorrow morning. I’m guessing there’s possibly damage to the valves in at least one cylinder.
Currently I’m leaning towards breaking the bank and just going w/ a JDM ITR swap.
Colin that Ariel atom is sick man… I want one of those cars so bad. They are about as much as a z06. Most people don’t even know what they are. I know a lot about them too… I am going to buy one in a few years after I buy a house next year. Great pic though.
