I got a really nice offer to go HID. I saw them on a friend’s CRX, and was impressed. He said that he got them from the (nice european car dealer) (cough) (hukup) but anyways, the price is very nice. 350 to get me a pair, I already have one pieces, and my lighting is good. A friend rode in both our cars, and he says that there is not too much difference of light output except the color of the lights. Well, I know the lighting on a CRX sucks, and if it improved the lighting on it that much, I was wondering if it would theoretically improve the one piece’s lighting as well. And for you guys who have HID, give me your feedback. Thanks
i would suggest against it cause, the outer house isn’t made to handle HID light, if u look at the one pieces the outer housing is made to scatter the light( the designs on the outer housing like the lines and sqaures and stuff) to make brighter and more efficient, and if u look at the cars taht are already equiped with HID the outer housing is just clear so the lights can be focused in one spot, so if u put it in a one piece house the light will be scattered, and since HID is more powerful light source, it’s going to blind everyone on the road since the housing is going to scatter the light, it’s gonna look cool, but it’s going to blind the hell out of everyone else on the road, i would recommand against it
Anybody actually have HID’s?
There is one member here that has HID in his one-pieces. I tried a search but came up with nothing.
I Have HID’s in my gsr. I am running my stock usdm headlights for the time being. The advantages of HID lighting are so beneficial. I think that youll be ok if you just aim the jdm lights down. I did it on my usdm lights and no one has flashed me yet and its been 2 weeks.

Looks good and great light output but blinds the hell out of oncoming traffic regardless of aiming it down…the beam pattern doesnt match the lines on the 1pieces…these are HIDs taken from a wrecked Acura TL…
damn thats sweet, did any custom work come into play whil putting in those tl headlights, and if so what parts did u need off the tl besides the actual hid kit, DAMN if those are the LOW BEAMS i would hate to see the HIGH BEAMS

Sorry, these arent mines, its another G2IC member but basically its just the kit wired up…they are way brighter and run at lower wattage than a normal halogen bulbs so the wires can be kept stock and HIDs dont have low/high beams…, Im pretty sure u know why!
