HID vs retrofit (options purpose)

well damn it looks like I have a fog light retro in my future! I was thinking of either the Lexus IS or Lexus ES fogs since they are small and have yellow lenses.

Do it! I want to see what it looks like lol

i think 6 projector would look terrible. but would like to see fog retrofit .

yeah i was joking about the six projectors but I may try the fog retro at some point, I will be sure to post whenever it happens

I do have a thousand pics and a thousand tips though for anybody considering an ebay headlight retrofit

can u post link?

I need to get all my pics organized then I will do a complete write up on it. Give me a few days and I will have something together

ken i pmd u

oops i got it did u get it hooked up yet?

Here is a small collection of my retrofit photos, as you can see by some of these I also ditched the crappy reflector mounts and adjusters for some quality bolts. If anybody has any specific questions about the process I would be happy to help

Are you still able to adjust the lights? I dislike the reflector mounts and adjustment screw on these ebay lights lol.

yes i can, much better now in fact. as you can see in the 3rd to last pic i used a rubber grommet between the reflector and housing so it could still flex. the stock mounts and adjuster are crap so I highly recommend doing what I did or you will be pulling them apart again when your projector is pointing at the ground!

awesome cant wait to do mine but i gotta fix the cold start issue and get it tuned with 0bd1 stuff since i still have obd0 shit in there

Definitely need to do that thanks for the info!

ProMcCown u mean i definitely need to do the obd swap or u definitely need to do reflection mount im confused lol

I need to upgrade the light mounts haha

Lol

no problem guys, I admit though it has been a chore to get these things right! probably at about 40 or so hours invested over a few months and I am still trying to get my cutoff line just right! oh well at least the next set i ever do will be easy!
