would you happen to have the link the HIDs that you got or a picture? it’s pretty straight foward and idiot proof(almost). everything SHOULD be set up for plug-in-play meaning that the kit comes with everything like, HID bulbs(x2), Ballast(x2), connectors, wires, mounting brackets, bolts, zipties, installing guide, etc.

step by step:

  1. Disconnect battery

this is the driver side but if you want to start on te passenger side first, go for it.

  1. remove orginal bulb: A. unplug connector first(this can be a little difficult, some are harder to take off than others). B. remove the bulb holder by twisting it counter clockwise(DO NOT LOSE THIS PART OR THE WAVE WASHER INSIDE OF THE HOLDER, you will use it again for the HID bulbs). C. take out the original bulb.

  2. install the new HID bulb: try not to touch the filament area of the bulb. A. NOTE: you might want to feed all the wires on the HID bulb through the bulb holder first and make sure the wave washer didn’t fall out of the holder…this makes it a lot more easier then having to feed the wires when the bulb is already in the headlights. B. lock in te bulb with the holder, twisting it clockwise.( this MIGHT be difficult pending how flush the HID bulb sits in the housing).

  3. Mounting the ballast(this was actually the hardest part for me because the g2 engine bay has no room & and i wanted to make it look nice but if you don’t have Power steering or Cruise Control…u’ll have more room).
also, make sure it’s in an area where the all wires can reach eachother(duh!!!)

areas that you can mount the ballast:

driver side:
right on top of engine mount
behind the washer filler reservoir
under the headlights where the bumper sits(this involves removing the bumper)
*plenty of other areas but this is just to give you an idea

passengerside:
behind the intake box(if you have an aftermarket intake, you wouldn’t have a problem at all)
right in front of the battery but not contacting it.
under the headlights where the bumper sits(this involves removing the bumper)

NOTE: it’s easiest to mount the ballast/bracket to an existing 10mm thread hole.

5: plug the ballast wires to the HID wires, then the headlight connector to the ballast connector

if you want to check if you have everything correct before moving to the other headlight, go ahead and re-connect the battery and give it a test

  1. repeat steps 1-5 on passenger side
NOTE: removing stock intake box will give you more room, removing battery too well give you HECKA room.

voilà

oh yeah…4300K-6000K will give you best lighting output!!!
i got 4300K

if you still have any questions…feel free to ask!!

ALSO…i know some g2 members are gonna tell you to go RETRO-FIT projectors but, if you’re not sure about how to install just regular plug-in-play HIDs…ask 'em if they’ll do a retro-fit for you

thanks alot for your help
I don’t wanna do the projector thing i already read the forum thing about it in the HID section as long as i can see better then I’m fine with it lol i just got the 8k low beams didn’t get the bi beams probly should have but they were more expensive… i saw where they sell bi beam bulbs, could i just plug those into my ballast and have high beams or will that hurt the ballast?

Depends if the ballast can handle it… the bulbs have to be ment for your ballasts, otherwise they wont work as far as I know… by the sounds of your ballast kit, I would say you can’t put the bi’s into yours…
