I’ve done some searching around, and seems those autoloc antennas don’t provide very good reception.

I have one that is just a block 4 x .75 x .75" long, and it’s amplified. Plug it into the radio, and hook up +12v to it and your good to go. It’s not as good as a signal as the original antenna, or one simialr but thats the price you pay to shave your antenna. It works ok but I hardly use the radio anyways.
Would this work as well with the rear glass? I hate having stuff on my windshield. I don’t see why it would make a difference but I thought I’d ask.

Yeah turns out the reception is horrible. I plugged the stock antenna spot so I don’t really want to put something else there. Anyone have any other options that are aesthetically pleasing?
You can mount those inside your dash, as long as there is only plastic, and no metal blocking/touching it. I took my radio out and mounted mine as far up as i could on the inside of the dash, grounded it, and hooked it up to an Acc. wire. Works VERY well and picks up my HD radio great.
