I need help… lol. Ok, so i was driving My 91 integra GS its bone stock besides B20 cams… the cams have been in for well over 2 months and it runs fine, usually… Anyway, i was getting on the highway and got on it thru 3rd gear and when i got home i noticed it was idleing high for some reason… its throwing code 43 for fuel supply and 17 for the speed sensor, the speedo works tho… I do know the T-belt needs replaced but, i also can hear some vacume coming from behind the IMF, but if it was a vacume leak it would be surging wouldnt it? i need some help. Any suggestions would be nice, thx in advance,
Dallas
check your vaccum lines after the throttle plate buddy…a bad or unplugged iac can give u surging problems…check your tps make sure u didnt move that
thats just it tho, it doesnt surge… just idle at 1300 with codes 17 and 43
make sure your timming is correct.
code 17 is vss (vehicle speed sensor) i think its cable driven in the 90-93 integras(someone verify that). Code 43 is fuel system, but 43 could also be ignition, if your CKP in your distrib is not operating correctly it could set a 43, I had a loose distrib rotor set a 43 once. If you dont think you have a vac leak check your FITV valve, they can back out from engine vibration, if the plunger isn’t screwed in it will cause high idle.
thx guys… not sure what it was, but it randomly stopped and started runnin fine. however yesterday, i decided to do a cap and rotor just for shits and gigs. Then today i went ahead and ordered a new T-belt and water pump. thx again, not sure what it was tho
