Ok i Have been on this form for sometime now, and do have to say between Google, my Haynes book ,Alldata and this site i have a lot of info. Thanks guys you have helped me, keep my da9 going and encouraged me also seeing all your nice mods. Ok now for my two questions. Who has the highest mileage car and How many times have you guys removed and replaced your engine and trans??
I’m at 263,000 miles on the car
and
8 time removal and replacing or fixing my engine and trans.
i had a dirt race car that is why i have removed the engine so many times. and learned the hard way what to fix and replace along the way.
I removed my LS engine at 268,xxx miles. The LS ys1 trans blew like at 25x,xxx miles. Installed a b18c1 with 223,xxx miles. And a b17 trans with under 150k miles. And I plan to get a oem rebuild on my c1. Maybe a mild build on the head.
Car has 300k and the motor is a 200k give or take a few miles. I know when I pulled it from the donor car my gauge cluster and the donor car’s cluster was only slightly off.
Holly Shit. 600K mile, then sold it to his mechanic that’s going for 700K. and I thought that after about 300k they were reaching the point of most major repairs…
Very nice guys. I am putting in a JDM b18c black top and an LSD transmission this winter. should be simple. Then trouble free motoring for a few years i hope.
600,000 miles wow that is why b series and Honda’s are great.

I just turned over 370,000kms today. My 92 LS 5spd still has orig clutch and rad. Also the miles are all mine - original owner - is my daily driver - been through 20x Canadian winters - however - this will be my last winter with this car unfortunately - time for something newer
My original ls motor/tranny hit 335,000 miles and it still ran strong never had no problems with it took it out in march and put a b20 with b16 tranny in I still have the motor and tranny for back up
