if some one can help I’think my car is running on high rpm because when I’drive on the freeway at 80mph the rpm is like 5000 or if I’go slow like 75mph the rpm still at 4500 I’m not shure if is right or not but seams to me is really high on rpm and I’ also change the clutch like 5 day ago thinking tha was the problem but still have the same high rpm some one help you think need tune-up? timing? change clutch again? or what ?
well, the wheels are directly hooked to your engine (through axles, tranny, clutch and flywheel). So, really you can’t be at a higher rpm than is normal.
what engine (and tranny) do you have? I’m guessing you have a b16a or b17a, or at least have a vtec tranny? Cause vtec trannies have lower gears, so you’ll be at higher rpms when cruising on the freeway.
w/ the stock non vtec tranny you should be around 4k rpms at 80mph.
