Hmotorsonline.com

Hey everybody, i was thinking about getting a b16a or b18c1 engine from hmotorsonline.com

I saw on there website that they have gauranteed that all the sensors are not broken and are in working condition. But then i have heard that some people that bought motors from there have had broken/missing sensors. Overall, of what quality are the engines that come from here?

Because i’m thinking of getting the b16 complete changover with lsd for 2000 bucks.

i had friends order and have seen them receive motors with broken sensors…they did send him another one, but im not sure if he had to put up a fight or not(doubt it) but overall egines are CLEAN…usually no oil leaks and what not

i get everything from hmo. must have picked up at least 5 motors so far.

all of good quality i hope?

Got my 98 spec.R motor from him, it was basically brand new and $600 less than anyone else was offering it at the time. I believe the only issue at all was one of the harness plugs had the lock mechanism chipped off, but I just found a spare harness around the shop and switched the plugs by pulling all the wires out and switching them over… took about 2 minutes. Car ran like brand new from the day I got it until the day it was gone.

I also have a friend who owns a shop who has bought on average 2-3 motors per week from Steve for the past 4-5 years at least (as long as I’ve known him)… so if he keeps going back then there’s got to be something good about him and his operation.

a couple friends of mine ordered engines, and got them shipped up to norcal with no problems, everything worked fine. They’ve been reputable to the best of my knowledge. HTH

hmotors thread on H-T, 10 pages and no complaints I believe:

I ordered a B18B from them and I was very happy. Everything was intact and looked brand new. I think it was power washed or something because I couldnt find any dirt/grease on it anywhere. All I replaced were the belts/waterpump, plugs/plug wires, and cap/rotor. Took off the VC to replace the VC gasket and adjust the valves and everything was in spec so I just had to put the gasket in. It fired up first try and has ran perfectly with no leaks for the past 15K, still looks and sounds like a brand new engine!!! And trust me I’m not that easy on this motor, its no stranger to the redline.

i picked up my gen 1 b16 motor, tranny, and ecu from them. It was steam cleaned and valve cover was painted. They also let me inspect the engine before i laoded it onto the truck, and it was in great condition. HMO is a great place to buy motors. everything was intact, and in working order. Just do the suggested maintenance stuff, and it will be fine. In terms of the broken sensors and such, usually if you contact them, they send you a replacement sensor. But yeah, expect little to no problems with them. :ohyeah:

i got my b16a swap from them, it was a very clean motor. steve is the man!

i dont know i think if you get a clean motor, then your just lucky at any place, unlike me who got a shitty as motor…thnks…

did you order your motor from Hmotorsonline?

password jdm…

steve is a friend of mine, we went to high school together and hmotors pretty much started right when we graduated HS. I also get all my motors from him.

Good ol’ Steve-o. Looks nothing like you’d imagine either… I was like, “wait, YOU’RE Steve?”

Deron says hello, Jimmy.

I’ve ordered 3 B16a’s from Steve. One of which came with a CTR cams and valvetrain. One of my friends around here ordered a B16a a while back and his came with Skunk2 valvetrain. What are the odds? Motors are very clean and shipping is quick. HTH

yeah haha everybody tells me that. People trip out when they meet him. Tell Deron i said wassup. Hey i still have the hatch carpet too if you still want it.

Here is my B16 from hmotorsonline.com, going on six months installed.

ive been calling for the past 2 days, no one is answering and their answering machine is full. What the fuck!!

Does anyone know any other reputable places to get a b16 complete changeover?

www.importautosalvage.com kind of high but are very reputable. They have some very clean motors too. Research them on Honda-tech. They are about 1 hr from me. HTH
