Been a lurker here for G2 info and pics since early 2000s. I decided to register after I picked up my first DA9. I’ve been into Hondas but started driving BMWs recently. BMWs are fun cars, I still believe they share the same DNA as Hondas; not focusing on HP but achieving to be a true driver’s car. Now I decided it’s time to go back to my roots. I’m usually into civics (EF, EG, & EKs specifically) but there’s something special about the G2 Integra that I started looking for one. Luckily, a friend of mine decided to sell his 1992 LS resto-project. I checked it out and took it home. It wasn’t a perfect car but it was a good start. I did all maintenance that is needed for a 20+ year old car (timing belt, suspension, fuel system, etc). I also visited junkyards to find missing interior pieces. Luckily most of the missing pieces i needed were black rubber and plastic parts. I installed some other parts I had laying around intended for a civic chassis (momo, wheels, etc)
I can say that I am happy I finally got a G2 integra. I love the simplicity of its design, from interior to exterior. My future goals for the car; I want to keep it simple-complicated. My inspirations for my build are Jason Haradon and EliDA9. And when she’s ready, I plan to daily it and occasionally take it out on Sunday track events. I want to enjoy driving it everyday and finally garage my BMW. Its the sad truth but our cars are still targets for low life scumbags, and I am aware of how Houston is notorious for Honda/Acura theft. That is why she’s always garaged at home and at work. If anyone decides to follow me home, they will be chewing led for an appetizer. Well, Enough chatter and on to the pics.
When I picked it up.
How she is now, the never ending project begins…
