I’ve got my hood pin mounted on the rad support and it’s making the hood sit a bit off (higher) and basically looks like shit.
Where can I mount it so my hood will sit flush.

hood pin as in pins to secure the hood? or alarm hood pin?
Alarm hood pin, oops.
i’ve mounted it on the radiator support before and no issues really.
i just lowered the hood pin itself until it fit perfectly.
you could also try mounting it by the firewall also.
Whenever possible I will use a short piece of back brace… http://www.scosche.com/products/sfID1/151/sfID2/195/productID/1379 and mount it with one of the fender bolts, on batt. side of car, then mount hood pin to the back strap, this will keep the pin switch dry and keep it from rusting. 94
Thanks FCM, I’ve got some of that in my car, will give it a try.
Just make sure it is strong enough not to bend, as you will probably need 4-5 holes. 94
Moved the pin. Did nothing for my hood to sit flush, fuck!
Adjust your hood stops.94
I think they are all the way down.
I’m gonna mess with it more tomorrow.
sorry to threadjack but how exactly would i hook up my hoodpin? i have a viper 350hv
It hooks up with a female quick disconnect. Quite simple really.
My alarm installer used one of the holes located on the rad support. It’s been as solid as ever for the past ten years. You just have to adjust the height such that the switch would be fully compressed when the hood is locked in place (not jutting out at full compression and “tenting” the hood).
i know you hook the female spade connector to the bottom of it but where do i hook it into the alarm?
H1/6 blue instant trigger. 94
