hooking up amplifier

I just wanted to know how you guys laid your rca and power cables. I want to do it properly and hide the wiring. wheres the best place to run them?

i ran them under the plastic things by the door and behind the kick panels on the passenger looks professional if you ask me

I ran the power line on the passenger side under the kick panels and behind the all the panels into the trunk…an the RCA’s just the same but on the driver side…can’t even tell that they are there…just dont run the RCA’s an the power together or you may get interference

From the battery to inside the car, where did you guys run the power wire? I have 10AWG running thru the door, ghetto style… Of course I know the proper way is through the firewall, but I can’t find any open grommet holes… can anyone help me out? I plan on running 4AWG wiring and I don’t wanna drill… thx

I drilled through the passenger side firewall…it’s not that hard…took like 10 minutes…thats the best way

i ran mine through the hole under master cyl. then straight down the middle and under the rug and back seat.

Ye, there’s a empty grommet on the drivers side firewall, should be under your master cylinder. Its easy to protect the power cable with conduit and hide it along the firewall. If you do drill through sheetmetal, fit a grommet to prevent the power cable shorting.
And fit a decent fuse 12" max. from the battery!

Thanks guys for the info:D

oo, sorry Sean, I just saw the Australia bit so i’ll elaborate in regards to out RHD tegs.

that grommet’s on the passenger side of the firewall, under a couple of air con pipes that go into the cabin.
Looking underneath the dash, you’ll see it just under the aircon unit, sort of where the carpet begins… u may have to cut out some sound deadener.

First cut a slit in the grommet, feed the wire thru, and then search for it under the dash. I ran it down the passenger side along with the amp turnon lead, and then i ran the rca’s down the drivers side, with no problems of interference.

Ask if you need anything else, gotta support the Australian G2’s!

The easiest way and safest way to run power cable into the teg is to run the cable through the wheel arch, on the right hand side. Pull the plastic liner out and in the piller there is two massive holes, big enough to run my Zero guage wire through and neons and alarm wiring through.

If you pull up the carpet on the passenger side you can drill a hole through the floor and run the wire underneath the car to the engine… if you look underneath the car on the passenger’s side floor you will see a circle about an inch and a half in diameter.Drill in that spot
