I have 92 GSR with 143k miles
Just had the timing belt replaced along with the water pump and new muffler
car seemed to be running great
i filled the car up last week and only got 21.1mpg and again the same thing this week!!
i’m not driving hard at all.
rev are low when idling under 1Grand in neutral.
in town driving so i know that the millage wont be as good as highway.
was was getting close to 312m/tank now 220m/ tank.
what should i check?

my gas mileage is horrible lol… im always on the gas cuz i don’t know how to work the cruise control lol!!

mine were horrid. burned gas like a v8
I get about 330miles/tank with my GSR…somethin for sure is outta whack
My 92 GSR has 132k, and I usually get 26-28mpg
Do a complete tune-up.
Change oil, check tire pressure / alignment, check to see if any brake calipers are sticking onto the rotors. The new castrol 10w-30 gives me a 10% mpg boost every time.
Like all said a good tune-up would usually fix the problem.
My say is to check your timing to see if its retard to 14 or lower if so set it back to 16 stock or advance it to 18 which can also help on giving better gas.
Timing, Spark plug old or needs regap, Tire pressure set to 32 is best.
And make sure not to caryy anything you don’t need in trunk other then spare and tools.
Sounds like you need a tune up.
mine gets around 240 miles on a full tank but i drive pretty hard and all city.
GSR with tall YS1 yields a 35MPG+ … and thats no matter how i drive it.
On the highway maybe… Or you’re calculating wrong.
