found the leak in my car, its water hose #7 that goes from the thermostat housing to the upper radiator house housing…tried to go to advanced, honda and acura but both say its been discontinued and dont have any…tried to special order from out of state but they told me the same thing… WHAT CAN I DO ??
i thought about using another hose and cutting it to shape but its either not long enough or is a straight hose and will pinch if bent…can i fab one up with something ? is there a site that sells this hose for us g2ic guys ??
this is my daily and i cant go on without a car for school & work
You mean the hose that goes from the Thermostat Housing to the Intake Manifold? If so, virtually any B-Series motor uses the same hose… Find one for a newer LS or GSR… or even an Si.
From that diagram it doesn’t show that the hose goes to the Thermostat Housing…
The diagram shows that the hose goes from the Cylinder Head and (ultimately) to the FIT Valve on the throttle body…
It would be easiest to connect it in the most straight way possible… Don’t use the “loop” that connects Hose #7 to Hose #8, and simply use one hose instead of two. Easy enough.

I completely agree with that however i still need to find hose #7 so that i can replace it as it is cracked so i need to order it from somewhere…non of the
above aftermarket companies offer it
Hence my saying, REPLACE IT WITH ANOTHER ROUTE IN MIND. Would be much easier than trying to scour parts stores for a hose that isn’t manufactured anymore.
It’s not hard… Look at how the hose is routed, and see what can be by-passed or re-engineered to best fit the circumstances.
When I swapped my motor I did away with all of the metal tubing and misc crap that is installed from the OEM, and routed new hoses that (ultimately) end up going to the same place. Much easier. That way when a hose goes bad, you can use a straight length of hose to replace it and BAM. No need for custom/bent hoses.
any of those smaller hoses that are part of the cooling system can also be swapped with a similar hose too… I have had to replace just about every damn hose on my car after replacing the upper & Lower hoses, radiator & thermostat… all the auxiliary hoses started busting 1 by 1.
I just took the blown hose to Napa or o’reilly and did my best to find one close to the original then trim it down and make it work. one of the cylider head hoses (the longer one that goes from the front of the cylinder head to the heater core valve) was a real PITA to get close, but I managed to find something similar (albeit not exact) and it has worked out just fine after trimming it down and fitting it in there.
otherwise like Unified and others have said you are gonna have to look for junkyard finds, and potentially have the issue arise again when the weather warms up.
Thanks for the help fellas, i bypasses all those vacuum hoses & figured out that my heater inlet hose was bypassed and my heater outlet hose wasnt even connected to anything … no wonder the heat didnt work lol. Only thing im waiting on is one last hose from acura that advanced didnt have, itll be here tuesday. Excited to be able to drive my car again !
