How can i confirm LSD in my tranny?

i bought a tranny and the seller says that it is a b18a 1990 LSD tranny.
how can i confirm?
does anyone have pics of what the axle holes should look like?

I’ve never had a FWD with a LSD but I know on a RWD if it has a open differential and you turn 1 of the drive wheels 1 way the other one will turn the opposite.

look at the tranny, where the axles goes. you should be able to see all the way to the other side. if you cant see to the other side, then its not lsd

Do what Andy said…Jack the car up (always use jack stands). Then spin the driver’s side wheel and if the other one spins then it has LSD.

On factory honda LSD it will have “LSD” stamped in black on the trans. Just my .02!!:corn:

like 924dr said if you look it the axle hole you should see right through it. if is not a lsd you will see a metal tub or something like it in the middle.

no b18a motor came with a factory LSD. either he lied to you. or he had one installed.

awww sheeeit. sounds fishy.

look inside the hole that the axles go into. OEM LSD looks like this:

Non LSD will have a vertical bar going through that hole.

i dont think any honda motor came with lsd…ever. :stare:

some honda motors came with factory lsd. xsi integra came as an option. usdm ITR. a bunch more. so yes. some honda motors came with lsd

motors? or transmissions? so yes.

do you understand what a differential is?

got this picture today of a NON-LSD S1 tranny that came from a 90 integra

see the bar going through the middle? that means no lsd.

awesome , thanks for the replies!
