I was raised in a muscle car family, My brother before me was given a hand me down 1992 Pontiac TransAM GTA (5.7L), He wrecked it several times (repaired though)… So that ruined my chances of getting anything similar. I was given my moms 1988 Cadillac Seville, It looked immaculate and i kept it like that. My oldest brother was having issues with his 1989 Ford Thunderbird 5.0, So he bought the cadillac from me… I was having trouble locating the car i wanted, So my dad sent a friend of his who has a dealers license to go to the auctions and find me a good car.
He returned with a 1991 Integra GS Sedan Automatic, I hated it… For awhile i was jelous I had half the cylinders then everyone else in my family… Until i stumbled onto G2IC… There were alot of bayarea members, I replaced the Auto DB with a identical 5 speed one… Made some of my closest friends at the meets and gatherings. If it wasnt for my G2s I wouldnt have the great friends i got now
Back in 94 I had a 82 street ported RX7 and it just wasnt a daily driver anymore and I needed something with back seats. I went to the dealer and just fell in love.
I wanted a 92 Milano Red GSR, but the sales guy talked me into a 90LS:shrug:and gave me a great price. I bought it for like $10,500 (CASH)with somewhere around 35-40k miles.
Since then I have had 3 more DA’s and now I have a DA and a DB1 with about 18 cars in between including a 98 ITR! Something about the DA that keeps bringing me back!
my baby…The DB1 is not quite pic worthy just yet!
well i guess i could put the most current pics of the DB
I got into G2s when i was about 12 or 13 i rember riding around in my Uncles 91 Palmy Blue GS 5spd, with the music blasting the windows open with a care free feeling, when he passed away, my mom bought his car from my Aunt for $$800 and used it as a Commuter befor i wanted it i was driving my Lifted trucks, after awhile i bought the GS from my mom for 800, and planned on building it in my uncles memory, collecting parts while going to school and working getting ready for my very first honda build, of my first summer in HS, during the last week of school on my way home got rear ended:sad: i sold my parts and car, went back to muscle cars and got a 66 El Comino SS, after looking on craigslist for a DD while restoring my Elky i came across a 91 Palmy Blue GS that was Identical to my uncles and i had to have it, and now i am building this DA in loving memory of My uncle sean, with all the Set backs and everything i plan on keeping my DA tell I die, or tell my son gets his License, im in the process of buying my Fiance a DB1 and me another DA9 as a DD
I happened upon one, my first one, in Sept 05 (see join date)…I was just looking to buy a stick import, found that DA, test drove it and fell in love. I knew right then it was the car I had to have. The rest is history I guess, that car is responsible for my love of DAs and also Honda.
well for me i had a 90 rx7 mint condition, with a freaking leaking coolant seal to the rear rotor. i sold it for 1k to a friend.(i know i got ripped off but i didnt care) my co worker was a honda 4 door lover and he insisted that i looked at a couple of cars he picked out. mine wasnt a looker back then but now she is beautiful. all this happen in a week i sold my rx-7 and got my self a really nice integra for 1400 bucks.
i was actually looking for a g3 and then while searching i was checking out the g2’s also. noticed they were a hell of a lot nicer. and that was about it im on my third one.
I was always surrounded by rotary powered Toyota’s growing up (thanks dad). One day, my uncle purchased a 93 GSR. At the time of purchase, Honda’s were not common amongst die hard Toyota loving Puerto Ricans. He was the first in our town with a wings west kit, carbon hood ,as well as the common bolt ons. My first drive in the car was a sign, I MUST OWN ONE! The B17 was addicting. Now 24 years young I am on my third teggy. Dad still calls me a traitor; and my uncle and I cant help but smile when we think of his 12A not starting…
LOL, is Ron even still around? I remember when he was trying to sell his hooptie for like $40K as is so he could buy an E36 3-series (which is what he really wanted)…hilarious.
I’ve always liked the clean lines of DAs. They look a hell of a lot better then the DCs, JDM front or not.
I’ve wanted a DA for years but just couldn’t afford the insurance.
Finally when I had enough of the horrible gas mileage in my Jeep, I decided it was time to buy a DA like I’ve always wanted.

whats the suspension and tire setup on that? looks real good
I don’t know really how i got into liking the G2, for one i wanted a DC GSR but could no where near afford that, then i saw specs online on how a 90-93 integra was almost the same as a 94+ integra, so i saw the price range and talked my mom into helping me buy one and i got it when i was 17. And, i fell in love with it, the interior is SO GREAT, the way it drives, the feel i get when i drive is like nothing else. Even when i drive FAR SUPERIOR cars i still rather get into my DA and drive. Even though all my friends and people say I look too big for my car, i have lots of room and feel very comfortable in it i feel cramped in big cars that should be comfortable…
Skunk2 Racing Springs, Tokico Blue Struts, Skunk2 Front Camber kit (A-Arm) and Ingall Rear smart-arm. Tires are Falken Azenis 205/50/15 (Old Style) with MB Motorsports Weapon 15x7 +35 Offset
I think after 18 years, the styling has aged remarkably well. No crazy styling cues such as the quirky dash of the mid-1990s Preludes or the bug-eyes of the DCs. I’ve considered selling my DB2 a few times, but when it comes down to it, I can’t.
Then again, is it just me, or did Honda make some good-looking cars in the early to mid-1990s? Acura Legend anyone? Even the EG Civic still looks decent.
just recently fell in love with G2I’s. my DA kind of fell into my lap. my father is a car salesmen, and a gentleman from Canada brought his 1990 LS into the Acura dealership looking to trade it in, the dealership showed no interest in purchasing it from him. my dad thought i might like it so he called me and had me come check it out. car was so clean, so sexy. i took it for a test drive and fell in love with it. a week later i bought it for only 600 bucks! had it for 3 weeks then it got torched. i think this pushed me deeper in love with G2’s. since then i have wanted nothing more than to own another DA.
I wanted a rice burner dude, something I could street race. I was like 14 when I started getting into cars, because my cousin had bought a shitty '94 LS, but it was kick ass fun. He had beat some of the cars that I was looking at, so I decided on wanting an Integra.
I wasn’t very picky though, and I had a 3,000 budget. I found my first car a '90 RS on autotrader, it had all the parts I wanted so I bought it (it was a member on here’s car “Louis”). I zipped around in it all summer, and the thing was a peice of SHIT! The body was clean, but the engine was burning like a qt of oil a week smoking like a mofo. Then it got totalled by a couple dumbass friends backing into it (in the same week), so I bought the car from insurance intending to part it out.
Instead I bought another Integra for my second car and swapped all the parts. That car got backed into a couple times so I did what I could to fix myself and used the rest of the money for upgrades and voila:
I drove that car for 3 years but I finally upgraded, so it’s up for sale. I was cleaning it today for showing, and it made me sad to be getting rid of it. But I need the money and there is nowhere for me to keep it at my new apartment.
