I first fell in love with g2’s when i was 14. i washed my brother’s wife’s db1 and i drove it to the store…since then i have loved 90-93 integras. I am now 20 and have owned 2 g2’s a DA and a DB1. i loved them both:rockon:
ive always loved the DA since they first came out in 1990. i was in high school then. the body lines were clean and simple. they looked even better dumped on a set of nice rims and one piece headlights.
i first fell in love with these cars back in 93/94. I was still in highschool and dumped withsome nice wheels was the thing to have…nice to see that many people are still building these cars the way they use to be back then, clean, fast, and simple.
I just love the subtlety and simplicity of the body lines. Cars today are too fancy for my taste. The g2 is the perfect looking car IMO, and it always helps to have a DOHC Honda motor pulling you around town.
When I bought my second car, I only had about $2300 to spend, and I knew I wanted an integra for the b series engine. I really wanted a G3, but they were out of my price range, so I settled on a g2. At first I wasn’t really feeling the dash and steering wheel, but after driving the car for a bit, it really started to grow on me. I bought it at around 190,000 miles, and ended up getting nearly another 100k out of it with an engine swap, among other things.
Now, I’m going to be buying my third DA (GSR actually) in a row within the next week. I REALLY dig the G2 tegs… way more than any other honda or acura.
It’s like I try to move on to newer cars, and I just can’t do it. I think I’ll always own a G2. Maybe not as a daily driver, but I’d like to always have one as a fun weekend car.
In 2003 my 87 crx si got stolen. I knew I wanted another honda and I found my DA in autotrader. I never even really considered the G2 before I test drove one. Fast forward to five years later I still have the same one. I’m hooked. I want another one, but I have no place to put it.
a friend of mine picked one up in a trade for a 4 door civic because it needed some work. he didn’t want it, he just got it because it was worth way more than the civic, and he wanted to sell it. i test drove it, fell in love, and bought it. i have been hooked ever since.
uncle had a blue LS that he used to transport his road bikes to and fro. One day back in the late '90s he took my sister and me out to see a movie and i liked the car ever since, that and his 300zx TT. though the 'teg had a lot of road noise. he later sold it to his wife’s relative.
clean lines, nice tail lights, aggressive (jdm) headlights look
oh, can’t forget the fact that its has the “coupe” look but its a hatchback - love that
Well…My family first bought the LSS 93’ back in May of 93’ for about 15-16 thousand. It was bought for my older sister and she drove it for about 5 years. I acquired the integra in 98’ for free. It was in perfect shape. 45K on the motor and trans and it was so well taken care of I almost thought about selling it and buying a Toyota 4x4. Luckily I didnt and Godbrother turned me onto imports. He at the time had a mint 95’ GSR and we raced and I beat him by about a car and half. Since then I was hooked. I must also mention that he was a shitty driver and also like 16 at the time.
