how do i dissable seatbelt alarm

I removed my passenger seat and now the alarm that says the passengers automatic seatbelt, you know the one that moves back and forth above the window, is not connected. It is extremely annoying and im looking for any ideas of how to dissable it.

If you’re looking for a quick fix and don’t mind either sliding under your seatbelt or disconnecting it at the B-pillar when you get in and out of your car, you can just disconnect the seatbelt controller. If I remember right, it’s behind the passenger side kick panel. Two plugs if I remember right. Also, when you disconnect this, you’ll want to have the auto seatbelts in the rear most position, so I believe that you have to disconnect it while your doors are closed.

well nobody is going to be sitting in the passengers seat because there isnt one. all i need to do is get the chime to stop. the seatbelts work fine and everything, Im actually thinking about cutting the buckle off the passenger seat i removed and throwing it into the seatbelt latch to trick the system into thinking that the seatbelt is in. do you guys think this will work, i want to know before i destroy the passengers seatbelt on the seat i removed.

so will taking out the seat belt controller stop the beeping chime that is telling me there is no seatbelt connected?

yes it will stop the chime but i think it will also stop the movement of the retractor so when you remove it have your doors open so it retracks towards the back so you can use the seat belt normally

Stick a paper clip in the seat harness, the chime should stop or just look here:

No don’t remove the controller, just unplug the connectors only.

remove the pass. fuse under the hood

True you can do that too. I think its the 7.5 amp fuse. Not sure if you’ll get a warning light on your cluster.

I have a 91 integra gs, and i could not find a pass fuse under the hood and daboot there were no fuses less then 10 amps. is there more then one fuse cluster under the hood?

Thats odd. I have a 91 GS too I’m the first owner. It should have a 7.5 amp fuse. Do you think the previous owner on yours hacked up the electrical system?

Hope you know that we’re talking about the amp fuse box in the “engine bay” NOT the one in the interior.

Yes I am talking about the one under the hood, i will try to get a pic of what i have that way you guys can tell me if i have something different then stock. this sucks im tired of driving around with that damn chime. There is no 7.5 amp one. and none of them say pass on it.

In that case:

You need to unplug the connector from the module for the chime to go away. Its located at the passenger side kick panel. Remove the panel, there you will see a dull silver box. Disconnect both plugs. The chime will disappear.

Just letting you know that your seat belts will not slide on its track anymore.
You’ll have to buckle up manually. AND will STILL work in case of an accident. God forbid.
