I just want to replace my rotor as part of a tune-up but I couldn’t get the old one off. I took the cap off and kept cranking the motor until the screw was visible. I completely removed the screw that holds the rotor on but I couldn’t pull the rotor off. Is the damn thing screwed on or something? I don’t want to pry to hard and break something.
if you already got the screw out just stick a flat head in there and just break it free.
I did put a flat screwdriver on the back of the rotor and tried prying it off but it wouldn’t budge. I was prying between the back of the rotor and a gear on the distributor shaft.
lube that bitch up with a little bit of WD-40. hopfully that will get it for you.
