When you installed the shocks and springs… did you remember to cut the bumpstops to make it a little lower? That’s one way you can make it lower… also, if it’s a new install… the springs will settle a little bit more after 2 weeks or so…
as far as i know cutting the bump stops isn’t going to make it sit any lower. that makes no sense to me. That will just make the shock be able to travel a little further before it hits hard; before u really feel it. which is probably horrible for the shock.
But the waviness is probably because those shocks aren’t too good performance wise in my opinion. H&R Race springs have a slightly lower stance then the nuespeeds. other than that, Skunk2 Coilovers would be my next bet if your on somewhat of budget.
i just want it to sit like 1in lower could i cut the springs?
Woah, Woah, Woah,…Dont ever cut the springs. Just shell out the $150 to get some lowering springs. Whatever you do, DONT CUT THE SPRINGS
Like the guys said above have u cut the bumpstop off like about half or an inch?
Lets just say I had exprienced Kyb gr-2 shocks rear and front agx adjustable ok and yes when i lowered my car to about 2 finger gaps roughly i had to cut the bumpstop bushing that was held in between the shocks shaft. Believe it or not if u want to go abour 1 inch more go ahead and cut the bumpstop becoz it is needed too anyway. Sometimes cutting the bumpstop helps keep ur balance of the car more even rather then like u said WAVY. Kinda confusing to explain but i know how it is.
Think, if u havent cut the bumpstop and its really long like 3 inchs or something u will not put the shocks to use due to the compressed section of it not being able to travel much to compensate ur bumps or whatever so it just bumps on the bumpstop mainly.
I believe most of the time when lowering you should or have to cut half or an inch

i dont believe that. if your car is that low that u need to cut the bumpstops to actually make it lower then that would mean that the car is resting on the bumpstops. which means u have the wrong shocks, or the car is way too low.
:iagree:
where in the hell did you guys get the idea of cutting the bumpstops. thats the most retarded shit ive heard all month.:dunno:
the bump stops dont have anything to do with the height the car sits at.
the only way your going to get it an inch lower is to get new drop springs or a set of coilovers so you can adjust it.

i mean, if u go lower, sometimes the ride quality will improve if u cut a little off the bumpstops, but that will sacrifice the life expectancy of the shocks. And just cutting them will do absolutely nothing to the ride height, unless the car is bottomed out already (which is seriously doubt).
<sarcasm>but what do we know, this guy says he did it and it worked.</sarcasm>
If your car is lowered, check to see if your resting on the bumpstops, if you are, then YES it will affect your ride height. So cut it down some.
If it’s not resting on them then leave it alone, and try another route
Also depending on what type of springs you got, you can try to cut a coil. It’s totally up to you.
Wavy on the highway sounds like a car out of alignment, or something broken. Get it aligned once the springs have had a couple of weeks to settle in.
Fuck it…cut the springs. Quick cheap way to get it lower.

Ok. If your car is lowered, check to see if your resting on the bumpstops, if you are, then YES you will need new shocks before your next paycheck.
i think u guys are missing my point. If you are resting on the bumpstops, then the shocks are fucked. Also, your car would be SLAMMED already. The bumpstops are only used when u hit a large bump. If the car is real low, then u will hit the bumpstops on every bump and the ride will be harsh. Thats when cutting the bumpstops helps. So you’ll miss the bumpstops when u hit those hard bumps. but your shocks will take all of the abuse instead.
this setup has been on the car since i got it in december so i know its worn in, i have no fuckin clue what bump stops look like but i’ll check…
ok dont listen to the retards and all the bumpstop chatter. THE BUMPSTOPS WONT AFFECT HIS HEIGHT ON NEUSPEED SPRINGS.
i had H&R RACE springs and didnt need to cut the bumpstops.
ok now that its out of the way i can help you out.
i have a set of slip-on type coilovers which i will sell for 100 shipped. i was running them and have no need for them anymore since i am switching back to my H&R. they are MEGAN RACING coilovers, which pretty much are the same as any other slip-on type coil-over, even the beloved skunk2’s.
if you dont want those then you could always buy H&R race springs, they are the lowest you can buy without going to coilovers.
shoot me an e-mail if you need to know anything else. nyteflyte2003@hotmail.com
 trying to make a sale.
Megan Coilovers suck. They’re just like cheapo Ebay ones.
im amazed at what this forum has become. with people like StokelesS_g2 trying to prove a point with big letters when he is spreading false information.
to clear it up. If you are resting on your bumpstops, then your mudflaps would probably drag. if that was the case, im sure you wouldn’t be looking for a way to lower the car further.

 I think you need to learn how to read, and interpret better son.
READ AGAIN.

There is no false information. So keep your comments to yourself :loser:.
Also there’s no point in trying to prove yourself, because since you cant read or maybe just blind, I’ll explain it with bigger words so you can read. I said “if your resting on the bumpstops, if you are, then YES it will affect your ride height. So cut it down some.”
Do you understand what IF means? Probaly not. O-well. Your problem. Kids will be kids after all.
And about the Megan Coilovers. Product Review Section.
A friend of mine had some. They look and ride just like the cheap EBAY generic ones.

I have the Megans coilovers paired with Illuminas and they ride perfect on a 1 setting on the shocks. Maybe to some they suck cuz they’re running the coilovers with a stiff setting. Mine does not bounce at all and the corner is now much much better. Just don’t use the stupid red secondary bumpstops that go near the tophats and you’ll be fine. I’m loving my Megans. :salute:
