How Do I Remove The Tints..??..

I wanted to remove my tints (myself) for a couple of weeks now… and yesterday I taped something in the hatch window… then when I tried to take the tape off, a part of the tint came off also… how can I remove the rest of it without damaging the “defrost line things”…??..

You can peel the tint film off with your fingers (use a razor to get a hold of the edges if you need to being careful not to cut the defrost lines).

For the goo left on the windows, spray on a very strong glass cleaner like GC-800 or Zep 40 (those are some products around here that i know of – ask a glass shop what they recommend in your area).

then you wipe it off. might have to do it a few times to get everything off.

If you’re removing it from other windows, once you get the tint film off, you can just spray on glass cleaner and use razor blades or fine steel wool to remove the residue.

you can also use Goo gone, make sure you don’t scrub too hard

Alright… kool thanks guys…!!..

I also heard that heating the tint with a blow dryer loosens the adhiesive, making it easer to peel off… I think it’s still gonna take a long time though… can’t wait to get started this weekend… …!!..

go on www.google.com & type in window tint removal there is a way you can do the job just one time with out having to scrub the left over goop.
