How do u know when its time to change gear oil? My tranny has been acting pretty funny, im wondering if its my gear oil…

B18A series engines do not use gear oil. Honda recommends to use 10W30 motor oil. Some recommendations would be:

  • BG Synchroshift
  • GM Synchromesh
  • Redline MTL 80W90

Of course, 10W30 motor oils can be used.

If it’s a manual tranny, I’d definately stick with Honda MTF.
