how do we check codes....no blue plug?

i was wondering how do i check my cel codes. i dont have a blue plug in a green sleeve:S???

if its a 90-91 the code flashes on the ECU, if its a 92-93 look harder. The plug is there in the passenger kick panel. Sometimes its just tucked up high making it hard to find

and somptimes it’s not a colored plug either… i was looking for mine for a while and i have a 92. so i was looking for a colored plug, but turns out it was just a normal looking connector.

I can’t remember the exact color of the wires going to it but mine had a brown wire
