How Do You Do It???

Well for the last few years ive been able to accomplish nothing that i planned to. Most of this is hindered by my financial situation. I work full time but it never seems to leave me any money to get ahead or mod or even fix the teggy. My question is what do all you do in life?

I feel ya man, its the same way for me i work at a local carwash making $11hr and i gotta pay rent and all my other bills and it seems to be hard to have money to do anything to my car but i try to save when i can n then use that for little thing on my car, but i can rarely do anything big to my car cause of $ but im trying my hardest to save for bigger and better thing for my car. So my advice is save were you can and just be patient. Good luck man!!

$11/hr at a carwash? Sweet! Sounds like a good college student job  <----

Either Save $ and have patient

or

Maxed out Credit card

I usually try to save $200 every paycheck every two weeks.

its only like $8hr part time, which you would prob do if you were in college. But i guess it would still be ok.

yeah ive been trying to save but i always end up completely broke before i get my next paycheck.

I eat out less and think about my needs and wants.

I have a business.
I earn anywhere from $90.00 a week, all the way to $3000.00 in a week…:naughty:
Most of my time is used for traveling and phone calls…I work in Riverside, Orange, and San Diego County…Plus, sometimes in Los Angeles but that’s rare for me tho…
At least for me I just wait for the phone to ring then travel…
I have some friends who have seen my work (Video’s) here on this site…
So if women can do it, so can guys… Women just make more at it then I do tho.

i’m in the same boat man, usually after a paycheck when all expenses are paid i’m left with like $100 till my next pay… sucks ass being broke, but as long as i have gas in the tank and i’m able to cruise i’m happy

Lol prior, are you a gigalow? Haha reminds of both deuce bigalow movies.

i just started working again this past month making like 400 a week at a warehouse.
Not many bills to pay, just insurance, credit card and cell phone. Live with my parents, been going to school the past year, so now im waiting for my intern to start next month at my doctors office(more money i hope, when kaiser opens up).

anywho, the money im making now to get me by is mainly for my car, which is how i recently got my extended lug nuts and rear visor. =]]

now im saving up for suspension and other goodies that go with that.
but for the past 2 years i havnt been working, school/unemployed, i didnt do shit to my car… except paint things with spray paint cause its cheap and wire tuck, but just save whatever you can, any little bit counts.

another fellow carwasher:up: I dont know if I could make it at 11 bucks an hour thought, as a manager i make anywhere between $15-$19 hour depending on the hours and tips, salery owns me and in the winter time when it gets busy, the hours get pretty intense. sometimes 55-60 hours a week:dozing:

I think you got the best job “In The World”:stuck_out_tongue:

I personaly make most of my build money threw tips when im stuck on the line at the wash. the rest of it comes from my other money making venture which isnt something Irealy want to say:)

^ Dealing drugs? Or hustling people street racing? lol jk

maybe a little bit of both, with a side of porn:rofl:

Hey thanks for putting some humor in it. I try but its hard to see the good side of things lately. Guess i gotta get back to man-whoring.

Even when I made $8 an hour driving a car that got 10mpg, and I had to drive 50 miles round trip to work (back when gas was ~$1.20/gal) I made an effort to set aside $50 a paycheck (every 2 weeks) and “forget about it”. That way, I forced myself to live off of $50 less per paycheck. After awhile, you do forget about it. Then you realize you now have $2000 saved up.

If your living from paycheck to paycheck, you really should look at what you spend your money on, see what you can cut out.

I know one person that makes $80k a year, and he “barely survives”. I asked him what he buys, he buys all sorts of crap. He goes into a store, and MUST spend at least $20 at the counter, after he has bought his groceries. He is the reason there is product at the checkout counter. If he could stop that, he could save at least $20 a week. Probably more.

If you need a credit card to “survive”, then you need to reevaluate your financial situation, and make changes. More money, better job, closer job, less spending on non-essential things, etc.

^ fixing up the DA/DB is defitnitly an essential part of my life! lol…
i work for my car, sad to say. but i imagine the parts that i want to get, which motivates me to work harder…

I work at my parents liquor store. It’s my fallback. Last year though around this time, I was working full-time at another place and my parents store. So I was at about 80hrs a week then. It was definitely pretty nice

Honestly I was lucky enough to be in eh right place at the right time, get an awesome job that I love (didn’t know how much I would like it at first) and I think every day about how grateful I am to have this job, and how people at my work need to quit crying about not getting a raise in times like these.
