How hard is it to perform a B16A swap yourself?

I’m just curious as to how hard it would be to do this yourself in your garage. What would I need? I know I would need an engine hoist, but what else? How long would it take?

EASY!!!

I DID MY SWAP IN ONE WHOLE DAY, I MEAN FROM MORNING TO DAWN BABY. IS AS EASY AS REPLACING THE REGULAR LS IN YOUR CAR, UNLESS YOUR CAR IS AUTOMATIC THEN IT’LL BE MADD HARD. THE TRICKY PART IS THE WIRING. THAT’S ABOUT IT.

Cool!
How hard would it be if you had only basic mechanical skills?

make sure you have a manuel/oil,filter/radiator fluid/clean garage! I was going to work on my car once and then spent 1/2 the day cleaning, so the night before get things ready and it doesn’t hurt to have some buddies help you. take breaks and most of all think with a clear head! Plan out how your going to do this, it seems obvious but the more prepared you are the smoother things will go

I did mine on my own with some friends who “said” they knew what they were doing. It took a weekend to get the motor in, but that’s only cuz we were lazy and took our time. But then no one could figure out how to wire it, so I had to tow it to a shop to have it wired up.
Also, Id get someone who can change your water pump and timing belt unless you know how to do it yourself.
