How low can you got with RSR Exmag GT2
hey everyone just wondering who here is running the rsr exmag gt2 and how low your integras are. I was planning on getting the gt2 but was worried my car is a little too low.

Just installed it FOR PICTURES SCROLL DOWN

let it scrape! lol jk. i think it all depends on who installs it. u can have a muffler shop tuck it up as best as possible. that will prolly require putting new hangers on the exhaust, but if it allows for everything to go on clean and look fresh then

^ So wrong ^

I got it on my car. YOu can check the pics here: http://www.g2ic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=190957

It goes under the gas tank. You have to be really really carefully leaving parking lots that have inclines and also speed bumps. As you can see in the pics I am borderlined slammed. If I had new pics I would be considered slammed since now the springs have settled. All the info in regards to the suspension, wheels, and tires is in there.

One another note about this exhaust is that you will need at least 2 people to put this on. Where the 2 pipes slide together at, there are 4 springs that hold it together or you can go with using the clamp. The springs are there so if you run off the track the exhuast will pull apart without damaging anything. I put both on so I wouldnt loose anything. But the springs ARE A MAJOR PITA to get on. I mean a MAJOR PITA. But everyone that has heard it LOVES the sound of it.

thanks a lot japanjay helped out a lot yeah im on 15’s running 195/50/15 and want a finger gap so might lower it about 3" just hope my rsr exhaust wont be fucked

Mine has been fine. There has been a couple of times where I got half way over a incline or speed bump and had to back up with traffic behind me. For me it is worth more to irrate and piss people off once in a blue moon then scrape that exhaust up or take the chance in crushing the piping. I will try to get some new pics now that the springs on the copilovers have had the time to fully settle in the last year and half.

Hope this helps. And it is a really loud exhaust with a note of its own when at WOT. When cruising down the HWY at 70 it is barely noticable, but at WOT it is the meanest and most, IMO, import sounding exhaust. When I romp on it, it reminds me of hearing the full out race cars whizing by down the straight away on a track. I have friends that have EVO’s and STi’s and even after a year and half they still give me compliments on the sound. When in downtown Seattle I dont know how many car alarms I have set off when down shifting coming up to a stop light. And it is not because of it being abtrusivly loud, just the frequency it will hit at a certain RPM when coming down or going up the RPM range.

thanks japanjay yeah if i could get some pics that would be awsome
do not a lot of ppl here rock the rsr gt2?

Nope. It is not “JDM” to have a N1 style exhuast, since that is not how they do it in Cali which is where “JDM Land” is…

hahaha well im installing my coilovers and exhaust tomorow ill show u some pics with how it turns out.

:gotpics:

here are some pics after i installed it those springs are a b*tch to put on took me and my buddy some time to hook those up

well my car is lowered on skunk2 coilovers and im running 15" with 195/50/15 and about a finger gap

well i just installed my rsr exmag gt2 cat-back im on skunk2 coilovers with
15" wheels 195/50/15 with a finger gap here are some pics of how low the piping goes

I cant see the pics at work, will check them out when I get home here in a little while.

Told you those springs are a MAJOR PITA to get on.

How do you like the sound of it? I personally love the sound when you romp on it and also at idle. Kinda has a gurgle to it at idle.

yeha i love the sound… sounds mean but not ricey at all its hard to describe but i love it

whats with the two threads??

How do you drive with the exhaust that low? Doesn’t hit the ground especially going over a speed bump? Not all high performance exhaust does that right? Because I’m not sure which brand to get, but I’m scared to do what you did…

Normal driving is fine. The 1% of parking lots that have no way of getting around a speed bump I just have to park farther away and walk. Same can be said for the 1% of parking lot entrances. Not all are this low, this one is, because of the fact it eliminated all the 90* bends, and and hugs the gas tank. If you research pics of known cars that are centered around performance, you find all have a straight through, down the center with no 90* bends exhaust lay-out.

I think this exhaust system looks effing sick! I, myself, went with the ExMAG system. But I must say that the GT2 looks pretty damn good!
