Just wondering how much actual labor there is in putting in new rings! thanks
You have to pull the head, take apart most of the bottom end, Push the pistons out, replace the rings, then put it back together. It seems like a lot of work. I’m biulding a motor (still got the stock one in the car now) and would not want to undertake this task on the motor in my car because of the down time and a learing curve which I am still at the bottom/middle of. There is another thread in the engine hybrids forum regarding changing pistons that my also be on interest to you.
