how to change spark plugs? pardon the ignorance

I know its pathetic but I’ve never done any maintainence work myself. So how do I change them?
Thanks in advance… I’ll try to be more comptetent next time.

remove the plugs wires, take a small spark plug socket(I don’t remember the exact size, but it’s the small one) with a ratchet extension and unscrew them! (be careful not to break one, unscrew them gently)

Installation is the reverse as removal! screw them in by hand and when they make contact with the block, give them about 3/4 of a turn with the ratchet.

Important! when you wrench the plug and it comes loose to finger unscrew it. And when placing in, finger tighten it. I know someone who used only the wrench, and in the process, stripped a thread in the spark plug hole. BIG trouble. Then you have to re tap it with a tap(with grease on the bottom and taking out every few turns in order to take out the shavings)

Anyway, the person really didn’t put much effort into turning either, but its aluminum block, so it will shape.

Make sure u use a spark plug socket, though a deep socket will work. Personally, i like to use anti-sieze compound on all threads of bolts, including the thread onthe spark plugs. Prevents much stress on future jobs
