OK, This is my first write up. So bear with me. . .anyways you will need
you will need;
- phillips screw driver
- small flathead
- tweezers
- i used a shop rag, but any kind of towel rag will work
So basically were just cleaning the contact points. You could use a cleaning product if wanted. . i Didn’t personal opinion. . .
you wanna start out by taking off the the phillips screws. . .
peel back the plastic boot
i started by removing the passenger switch, i used the small screwdriver to pry very gently.
these are your metal contact,this is where the tweezers come in handy. pull these off. . .don’t worry they are interchangeable
just showing how dirty the uncleaned side is, take the rag and clean off these contact points.
then what i do is check the grooves and take my metal contacts . . .and put the bigger one on the more grooved section. . . so the contact is better. . .
onto the master side, pull the pin. . . BUT be carefull they are spring loaded
pull your metal contact and clean them good’
then clean the contact points the best you can with the rag. . .or the “black stuff” in the teg tips. . .top and bttom. . top cleaned, bottom is not
then like i said check the metal contacts, and see which has a bigger contact patch. Well patch still intact and place that on the more worn out area. . to kinda even things out. . .
well hope that is a lil better information. . .and if this is already covered i’m sorry
sorry about the bad pics
