how to clean your window switch w/ pics

OK, This is my first write up. So bear with me. . .anyways you will need

you will need;

  1. phillips screw driver
  2. small flathead
  3. tweezers
  4. i used a shop rag, but any kind of towel rag will work

So basically were just cleaning the contact points. You could use a cleaning product if wanted. . i Didn’t personal opinion. . .

you wanna start out by taking off the the phillips screws. . .

peel back the plastic boot

i started by removing the passenger switch, i used the small screwdriver to pry very gently.

these are your metal contact, this is where the tweezers come in handy. pull these off. . .don’t worry they are interchangeable

just showing how dirty the uncleaned side is, take the rag and clean off these contact points.

then what i do is check the grooves and take my metal contacts . . .and put the bigger one on the more grooved section. . . so the contact is better. . .

onto the master side, pull the pin. . . BUT be carefull they are spring loaded

pull your metal contact and clean them good’

then clean the contact points the best you can with the rag. . .or the “black stuff” in the teg tips. . .top and bttom. . top cleaned, bottom is not

then like i said check the metal contacts, and see which has a bigger contact patch. Well patch still intact and place that on the more worn out area. . to kinda even things out. . .

well hope that is a lil better information. . .and if this is already covered i’m sorry

sorry about the bad pics

Can you rewrite the stuff that says “remove this thing in the picture” cause i have no idea what the “thing” is. I got sticky window switches, but I only played with the visible copper things. I’m not sure how the internal metal contacts, or black stuffs, look like.

can you re-take like…all the pictures?

lol

scratchy, the metal contacts are what make your window go up and down . . .and the black shit is what makes your switch “sticky”

ez12, it’s hard to get the camera to focus on that small shit anyway. it’s just supposed to be a general overview to help you along. Before you dive into something and fuck something up.

and as for the closeup’s they are only showing a cleaned side and a dirty side.

Now I Know I Need Glasses.
If It’s A Digital Camera Put The Flash Setting On Macro… And Possibly Put It On A Tripod.

haha. thats exactly what i was thinking… if u use a Macro feature, u can take pics like this:

that is a 3/16" brake line flare.

wow pics are horrible. cant even see a thing. try messing around with the settings to see if that helps.

please please retake photos i need to do this asap
