Swapped this B20B into my DA9 and am now looking to upgrade IM to Skunk2 pro series…seems I need to know what make model year the engine came from in order to make sure I get the the right IM from Skunk.
So, my engine serial number, stamped right below the ‘B20B’, is 5003676.
Is there any way I can find out what model make year it came from? (I know the year is stamped on the engine also but have a hard time reading it).
On skunk2’s website that engine (nor any car it came in) is listed, so you need to use some common sense and deductive reasoning to figure it out. B20 and B18a/b engines use the same intake manifold stud pattern. Therefore a manifold designed to bolt onto a b18a/b will also bolt onto a b20. So, you need to see what manifolds are offered for b18a/b engines - turns out there’s only one, well, technically two if you count the different color options. http://store.skunk2.com/engine-tuning/induction/intake-manifolds/pro-series-intake-manifolds/pro-series-intake-manifold-607.html
