how to fill/check coolant

Hey,

while changing the temp sensor the other day i lost about 8-10 oz of fluid (thats prob exagerated a bit, but jus to be safe) and after that i thought ‘wow, i shoudl check my level’. well i’ve never EVER had any coolant in the resevoir, but when i open teh radiator cap, its always filled to the top?? I dont know wheather i should keep filling it up, and also, if its filled to the top of the radiator, do i open the resevior and fill it there? Please help.

Just fill your reservoir to the max level and drive around for a little bit and see if it goes down at all.
If it goes down during the drive then add more until it stops.
