hey teggers i have the most f#cked up suspension a gen2 integra could have, and the worst thing is that i dont know how to fix it, maybe i do but its hard to find the parts i need here in central cali, any way my problems are as follows:
my ride shakes violently when i brake
everytime i turn my front tires sound like a ratchet (used to be just when i turned now its all the time, its fainter when im going strait though)
the front passenger side tire leaks something i think its brake fluid
on the same tire mentioned on prob#3 i pulled out chunks of this red spongy material soaked in the same liquid
i got a flat the other day on the front driver side and i put the stock rim and tire back on and the steering wheel whobbles now
i have skunk2’s on it without a camber kit (but thats not really the problem right now) it lowered all the way on the skunk2’s it the front

you need new cv joints or axels would be easier
find out where its leaking from
ummm you shouldnt be finding anything like that in your tire
you need to get your tires balanced
hope that helps a bit [/B]
bro not to be f#cked up or any thing but that doesnt really help, i need detailed info badly not a quickee fixer upper so iff any one with way more info plz help or if any one know of a site that could probably help link it in your reply, and about tip # one how do i do that, or do you mean to reslot my rotors cauz thats cheaper and easier i could reslot them at school in about an hour
my fast teg is at hand hear
:vomit: :vomit: <---- i cant get over this little guy
Rayo, about 95% of the time, all the things Sweet mentioned will fix your problems. Vibration when braking is often always linked to rotor problems, so resurfacing them (not reslotting) will aid in that. Your CV joints are prone to breaking if you have a lowered car since it causes the arms to sit at a much more extreme angle. Proper camber has nothing to do with this. A broken CV joint will make a squeaky sound as you turn since turning the wheels causes the equipment to rub. As far as the leak goes, the only way to fix a leak is to know where it’s coming from. If you think it’s brake fluid, check your lines. Swapping a stock rim/tire on with an aftermarket rim/tire on the opposite end changes the geometry of your suspension, this is amplified by a lowered car. As for that red spongy stuff…that’s pretty scary. It’s “In” your tire? Dude…

no no no the spongy stuff is coming out of my coilovers, i cant really explain but iff you know what a coilover looks like you will probably understand me, in between the spring and that shiny cylinder (i think its made of alluminum) is where i found the first piece and i looked harder and the rest of the chunks were coming from the top of that cylinder, its hollow on the inside (i think) i dont know how to post pics or else i could really show it to you guys, about the rest of the probs i think you guys pretty much helped me out this friday im gonna take my ride to school and (resurface not reslot) them see iff that helps or iff not ill just buy new ones there just 29$ each oh and thanks for the correction you guys along with this site are the shizit,
ditto to listening to the advice above. theres no way anyone can give you better advice w/o actually being there.
as for the spongy stuff, im still not clear on what youre saying but perhaps its the bumpstops disintegrating and being soaked in leaky shock fluid? i believe they should be either red or yellow in color. theyre like donuts cuz you fit them over the shock piston/rod.

I agree. That could be it and $29 shocks? Lowering springs on cheap shocks I can’t imagine are very compatible. I’d look into getting either A. Better shocks or B. Taking them back to where you got them and look into getting a refund. It could very well be a bump stop absorbed in leaky shock fluid. That’s assuming that the shock is hydraulic and not a gas shock…
ITS 29$ FOR THE ROTORS NOT THE SHOCKS, IN FACT I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT KIND ARE THEY, IN FACT I DONT EVEN KNOW IF IT HAS SHOCKS THIS GUY ONCE SAID TO ME THAT THE FRONT COILOVERS DONT EVEN NEED SHOCKS, I DISAGREED WITH HIM AND ALL HIS BUDDIES WERE LAUGHING AT WHAT I WAS SAYING, TO TELL YOU GUYS THE TRUTH I DONT REALLY KNOW ABOUT SUSPENSION MY KNOWLEDGE GOES UNDER THE HOOD

dont worry about it. ya every car has shocks, or the correct term- dampers. therefore, every coilover needs shocks, except for the full race coilover systems with the adjustable threads built onto the shocks themselves, but these systems cost $1000 and above.
shock and spring and pillow mount (top)
lower arm and fork
then you got the spindle and upper arm and thats about it.
you can read more about bars in the articles section at [URL=http://www.team-integra.net]http://www.team-integra.net
or, download the helms and you can see more diagrams. then you can go back and laugh at those guys in return =P
