I’m about to buy a PWR or Fluidyne Radiator, but I need to know what to do about the fans. I’m told that the stock fans will not attach. What to I do? Very lost… can someone help?
I will be running A/C as well, so I"ll need the A/C Fan.
is it worth the trouble? Should I just get a new OEM radiator?
The Fluidyne only has mounts for the main fan (passangers side fan). You can still use your a/c with out the condenser fan (driver’s side fan). I don’t know about the PWR unit. They are easy to install. Remove fans, disconnect the upper and lower hoses, remove the top brackets and the radiator pulls straight out.
yeah, the actual installation isn’t bad, just concerned about the fans. So i can use my stock radiator fan, that’s a good thing.
Then there’s a FAL slim fan, but I can’t seem to find them anywhere. I found some company called Flex-a-lite but not sure if that’s the same company. But if it is, they got a LOT of different fans. which one do i get?

anybody else know about the A/C? i’d rather have it running at full potential, because I goto school down in Santa Barbara, and it gets hot.
FAL = Flex A Lite
FAL fans tend to be kinda expensive, if you’re willing to shell out for them then cool, but otherwise you might want to look at other fans like Spal and such. As for fitting the fans on, I think there are some universal radiator fan mounting kits out there that might work (check sites like summitracing and jcwhitney and see what they offer, radiator fans are more of a generic item). You can also look at C&R radiators that come from the factory with a Spal fan already mounted (no AC fan though). There was/is a groupbuy on them on groupbuycenter.com that I just purchased one through. Not a bad price given it included everything.
There’s a way to wire the main fan to accept the A/C signal as well, I haven’t looked into very much but it’s possible. Also, wiring it this way shouldn’t be a concern with the additional cooling capacity of the Fluidyne/PWR radiator.

jason… so basically you mean just run one fan for both cooling and a/c?
