how to remove air blower & heater core box?

I’ve done this on other cars but never on a DA before.

So I’ve removed the straps which hold up the heater core box
Also removed about 4 other M10 bolts which i can see holding up both boxes.

Anyone have a link to writeup or tell me what else i’m missing here.

There is one bolt in the engine bay holding the heater core to the firewall. I missed that one the first time I pulled a heater core on a DA. Other than that its fairly straightforward. Are you pulling out all the tubing for the vents too? That stuff is packed in there pretty tight. I’m not sure you’d NEED to pull them to get it out but it may make your life easier.

this is why I never discount the benefits of learning from others!

I would of never guess on an bolt/nut from the otherside of firewall.
Seriously both shoulders sore from laying down in the cabin doing a wire tuck on my brothers DA…

side note: I quoted another customer $250 for chassis tuck…not worth it for that little.
already have 6hrs into it to pull both sides through the firewall… and that was the easy part. lol

Haha, I know. It took me a while to find it the first time around. And I definitely hear you on the sore shoulders part. I was hating life until my girl brought me some pillows… Lol
