How to remove rear panel between taillights and bumper?

Hopefully you know what piece I’m talking about - it extends all the way across the back, in between the tails and the rear bumper. I know there are 4 bolts (2 on passenger side, 2 on driver side), but what holds the middle to the car? I pulled off the 4 nuts and even pulled out the hatch keyhole to see if there was anything there, but no dice. I couldn’t even find it in the Helms manual, so can someone please help me out? Thanks.

lift up the wood/carpet in ur trunk…

on both corners you’ll see two bolts…

unscrew it then the metal panel is off…hth

i’ve done this many times… the bolts your missing are behind the tail lights. yes, you have to pull the tail lights. you’ll see them. there is 2 on each side.

Thanks. I was really hoping that wasn’t the case, but no biggie. Thanks for actually reading the post, unlike importracerrr.
