How to remove the ABS??

I’ve got a 93 teg an would love to remove all the abs stuff to clean tha engine bay up a little bit can anyone give me some tips on where to start an
Do I need to buy anything?? Thanks in advance

You’re going to need a 40 40 proportioning valve, and new brake lines. unless you can just rebend your old ones,… ( I wouldn’t reccomend) the propotioning valve is like 50 on ebay and probable like 10 if you can find it at a junk yard. you’ll be able to find them on older civics without abs.+

would the master cylinder need to be replaced as well of just that proportioning valve?

it doesnt need to be replaced, just make sure to transfer over the 12m flare nut so you can still use it on the existing MC

I’ll take some pics of mine. I just finished mine a few days ago. I did mine while my engine is still out. Much easier but this can too be done with engine in.

Here’s the list on what I got.

90-93 integra non abs 40/40 prop valv with it’s 3 lines that comes on the firewall. Carefully take yo time removing them. Don’t bend em too bad. Only ones you have to bend is the front brake lines getting them out.

Brake line flaring kit from autozone. Rent it. Don’t buy it. Check your auto parts stores.

Brake line cutting tool. It’s a little adjustable tube cutter. Twist and turn. I’ll post up. There is different ones though too.

Use your old abs brake lines to make the fittings. If you messed up on double flaring a lot like me I suggest you buy an extra custom universal import brake line. I got 2 from napa auto parts and only used 1.

Brake fluid dot 3. I bought 2 big bottles also but ended up using 1. Prestone

Female connectors. I bought 3 double sided ones. Couldn’t find single ones like the males that’s already on there…so I had to do more double flaring for me.

A filing tool where you make the tip of the brake line smooth flat when you cut off that brake line…

Hmm what else I forget.

Search on you tube on how to double flare brake lines. I did my research on google and you tube. Found many articles from h-tech/etc…and some on here…and put em together and makes things easier. Did it all by myself too plus bleeding brakes. Works excellent.

As you can see on the master cylinder line I did make it look better the first time. It just went in perfect but thing is I messed up on just doing a single flare. I didn’t know you had to do the whole flare windmill headspins to 90 lol jkjk. Double flaring I mean. So I had to cut way back and make a new line.

This is what used. 3/16"x60" brake line from napa auto parts. It’s like $8-10

I bought this to cut the tubing. It’s like $5-7 at autozone

What do you do about the abs light do you jus take the bulb out

Pull the ABS control unit behind the passenger side rear quarter panel plastic
