how to take off mouldings

hey guys how do i take off my stock mouldings do i have to take off my interior panels or can i just pry at them from teh outside? i want to make sure before i decide to pry and break all my clips.

if you pry form the outside you will break clips. they come off very easy once you have access to the inside, hard part is removing all the panels =(

The arent all easily accessed, dont forget the small nut on the door.

The best way is from the inside, panels arent too bad.

how about the mouldigs on teh rear quarter panel? does the interior have to come off to get those too… and is their a post on how to take off all teh interior paneling to get at these clip?

You can take them off from the outside, you just got to be careful. The way I do it is to use two 1 1/2 - 2" putty knives. Tape the edges with masking tape to minimize the chances of scarring the paint. The trick is to slip them behind the mouldings from the top and bottom. Once they’re in behind, you have to feel your way around to find a clip. Once you find a clip, position the knives so you can pinch it from top and bottom to get the clip to release from the body panel. It should be easy once you get the first clip or two undone as you’ll have more room to work with as the moulding is worked off.

hey thanks for the tip ill try to pry it off like dat easier then taking off interior
